Eye Who Have Nothing, Eyes That Have Seen Nothing
Sometimes it isn’t a matter of having a “dead eye”. Sometimes it just seems underdeveloped…
In this case, I saw that my eyes were lacking something when I went on a trip with one of my friends (pictured above) to New York. I went out with the intention of capturing some amazing photos… and to some kind of credit, I did get some good shots. They were good for my current level… A few attempts at being a “street photographer” were thrown in for good measure.

Work + Redesign + Life Options
So I’ve been off of the face of the earth for a while. The reason for that is because A: I’ve never been good at social media. B: I got a job recently… and that job sucks. C: Creative energy has been absolutely flat lately.
Like a nasty creative block + being too tired from work. (Kids, stay in school.)
I’m considering changing the theme to this tumblr. Perhaps back to the old design I had ages ago… or something that I can at least fit some ads on, for the sake of getting some extra pocket change to support my photography habit. :P
As far as life options: I’m probably going to look for a new job while I have this one… and learn how to code.
I had a lot of fun taking pictures of Will, Sadie and Jessi. I think it’s partly because they’re friends of mine and partly because I stated in the first place “I have no idea what I’m doing.”
I sort of put that out as a warning with anyone I do portrait shoots for or with. In the hopes that we would go into this knowing that it will be a little awkward and somehow be a bit prepared. So far this hasn’t gone too badly. We all end up enjoying them, they get some cool photos to put on facebook and I get to post content and be productive in a way. It turns out to be pretty good for my psyche. So in a way, I lean on my friends to keep me sane in one of the better ways that I know how. Thanks, friends. :D
